hereby appoint CARLOS WALDEMAR MELINI SALGUERO and/or EDWIN OTONIEL MELINI SALGUERO,  jointly or separately and ample and sufficient SPECIAL POWER OF ATTORNEY, to represent us before national offices and authorities of the Republic of Guatemala and other countries, that correspond, for the registration, renewal and protection of our marks, trade names, slogans, patents, utility models, industrial designs and matters of industrial property; copyrights and matters of intellectual property, for which we authorize them individually or separately to take the steps necessary, to file applications, to make statements, to pay taxes, prove workings, to grant licenses of use, to apply for certified copies, to receive documents, to buy, sell and transfer  with previous written authorization, to accept transfers, file and withdraw oppositions and to do whatever necessary before any administrative authority, and all other courts, including before the Supreme Court of Justice and the Constitutional Court; and to file and answer all claims or suits that are presented due to the filing or registration, or renewal, of marks, trade names, slogans, patents, utility models, industrial designs, and matters of industrial property, copyrights and matters of intellectual property, being able to file all kind of ordinary and extraordinary appeals, with faculties to substitute totally or partially this special power of attorney, and revoke such substitutions, if necessary, having all the special powers specified in Article 190 of the Law of Judicial Organism of Guatemala.

por el presente otorga a CARLOS WALDEMAR MELINI SALGUERO y/o EDWIN OTONIEL MELINI SALGUERO, conjunta o separadamente, un PODER ESPECIAL amplio y suficiente para que le representen ante las oficinas y autoridades de la República de Guatemala y otros países que correspondan, para la obtención del registro, renovación y protección de sus marcas, nombres comerciales, expresiones o señales de propaganda, patentes de invención, modelos de utilidad, dibujos y modelos industriales y asuntos de propiedad industrial, derechos de autor y asuntos de propiedad intelectual, a cuyo efecto los faculta individual y separadamente para dar los pasos necesarios, presentar solicitudes, hacer declaraciones, paagar impuestos, justificar explotaciones, otorgar licencias de uso, solicitar testimonios, recibir documentos, para comprar, vender y traspasar previa autorización por escrito, para aceptar transferencias, interponer y desistir de oposiciones y hacer cuanto fuere necesario ante cualesquiera autoridades administrativas, judiciales o de lo contencioso-administrativo y ante los Tribunales de cualquier otro orden, incluso ante la Corte Suprema de Justicia y Corte de Constitucionalidad y para plantear y responder a todas las reclamaciones y demandas que se presenten por causa de la solicitud o del registro, o renovación, de marcas, nombres comerciales, expresiones o señales de propaganda, patentes de invención, modelos de utilidad, dibujos y modelos industriales y asuntos de propiedad industrial, derechos de autor y asuntos de propiedad intelectual, pudiendo interponer toda clase de recursos ordinarios y extraordinarios, con facultad para sustituir este poder especial total o parcialmente, y en caso necesario revocar dichas sustituciones, teniendo todas las facultades especiales detalladas en el Artículo 190 de la Ley del Organismo Judicial de Guatemala.
